Chin Hong Minimart at block 3, is the longest serving provision shop in St. George’s. The proprietor, who only wants to be known as "aunty", came to St. George’s with her family when they had to shift out from Boon Keng 20 years ago. They have been running provision shops for almost 50 years now. She has 3 children, all above 30s and working in various trades. The family stays in the unit just above the shop. Aunty finds St. George’s a very conducive place to be in. "People are friendly and warm in this small community. I like it here, and will not leave unless situation change and and I am forced to do so." said aunty .
