Aunty Linda has been a resident of St George’s for many years and can often be seen chatting with other housewives when she sends her son, Zayer to the PCF kindergarten class at Towner Road. She chose to stay in St George’s as it is near her parents’ place. She has personally witnessed the physical transformation of the estate and also seen many residents move out and new residents coming in. “I like this place as it is very safe, not complicated and people are friendly and kind,” replied Aunty Linda without any hesitation when we asked her what she likes about this place. She is obviously very pleased with the addition of new facilities in the area over the years too, as she started listing them to us. She is an ardent supporter of the community events in St George’s and cited the annual Mid-autumn Festival Celebration as her favourite.
