Special Olympics Singapore located at block 2 St. George's, is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing sports training and competitions for persons with intellectual disabilities, giving them opportunities to develop physical fitness, self-esteem and confidence, and become productive and respected members of society. They have produced fine athletes including Mr. Salihin Sinai. He was the first Singaporean Special Olympics athlete in Asia to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa in 2011.
