Sri Lakshmi Store

Sri Lakshmi Store is named after an Indian Goddess

Mr. Ganesh took over this provision shop from his friend about a year ago when his friend went back to India. The shop opens from 9am to 2am and sells spices and brands mainly used by the Indian community here. During our interview, we saw housewives buying their daily groceries. Some of Mr. Ganesh’s regular customers come just before midnight to buy beer. No wonder he claimed his top seller is a brand of indian beer! What attracted us in the shop was the wide range of whisky standing on the shelf behind the cashier’s desk.

Mr. Ganesh has a wide smile and is a man of few words.
